„TH Rosenheim is located between lakes and mountains, all near (accomodation, shops, sport places…) and always someone ready to help you. One day skiing in Sudelfeld with people that never have skied in their lifes, because they are coming from countries, where there is no snow was a great and funny day. “ Vorab ist zu sagen, dass es sich nicht um einen ERASMUS-Aufenthalt handelt und
die Bewerbung somit etwas aufwendiger ist. Diese Tatsache sollte einen jedoch nicht abhalten, da man genügend Unterstützung angeboten bekommt
(International Office TH-Rosenheim und UBC, ehemalige Outgoings). Einfach fragen und man kommt schon durch. Eine nicht zu vernachlässigende persönliche Vorbereitung ist, vorab genügend zu
sparen, da hier alles teurer ist als zuhause. Wenn ihr Fragen dazu habt, dürft ihr mich natürlich gern kontaktieren. Nicht schüchtern sein! (…)“

„(…) Auch wenn die Planung und Organisation definitiv mehr Zeit und auch Geld in Anspruch nimmt, als es für ein Praktikum in Deutschland oder Europa erforderlich wäre, lohnt sich der Aufwand. Ich habe trotz einiger Tiefen, wie ab und an vermissen der Familie und Freunde, eine super Erfahrung gemacht und auch die eventuelle Sorge, dass die Englisch Kennnisse nicht ausreichen (FOS/BOS- Englisch, und 2 Semester Englisch an der TH Ros) war komplett unbegründet.“

„In der Stellenausschreibung der Hochschule fand ich eine Anzeige von AlumnoAstralis, eine Organisation, die für dich einen Praktikumsplatz und Unterkunft in Mauritius arrangiert. Ich habe dafür ca. 600 Euro bezahlt. Im ersten Schritt gibt es ein Skype Interview, in der die Organisation die Sprachkenntnisse, in meinem Fall Englisch, überprüft und dich als Person kennen lernen will. Im zweiten Schritt sucht die Organisation den passenden Praktikumsplatz und teilt das Unternehmen mit, das sich für dich interessiert. Im dritten Schritt unterzeichnet man die Verträge mit der Organisation, der Hochschule und dem Unternehmen. Für einen Aufenthalt über drei Monate und für die Arbeitserlaubnis benötigt man ein Visum, wofür einige Medizinische Befunde notwendig sind und der Nachweis von mindestens 2000 Euro auf dem Konto bei der Einreise.
